Style Guide: Here’s A Look to Get You Out of Your Winter Wardrobe Rut

It’s finally winter, not technically on the calendar but Mother Nature has said otherwise. It’s cold outside. I don’t know about you , but in the winter I sometimes hit a wardrobe rut. I have amazing outfits in my head, but it’s so cold I just grab my black turtleneck and black tights. Not anymore. Well, not as often.

If you’re like me, let’s get out of our wardrobe woes and break the monochromatic looks with ANOTHER monochromatic look. Hear me out. This one is different than your typical all black winter uniform. Go with a winter white look . It’s a look that brings light and it would be slightly unexpected from us girls that love our all black, all winter long.

Here’s how I styled my look:

I started with a pair of white jeans that serves double duty making appearances in both summer and winter. I added a white turtle neck to the mix because I can’t enough of turtlenecks.

To add some texture to this all white look I decided to throw on my white faux fur vest that I bought two winters ago at TJMaxx.

I have several true winter white coats that would have been a perfect way to punctuate this outfit, but I opted for this beauty. This longline camel colored Banana Republic coat was thrifted for $12. It was some of the best money I ever spent. It’s warm, it looks and feels very luxe, and it was on budget.

The hard part for me was the shoes. Initially, I had on a pair camel colored Chelsea Boots, but I decided not to go with them and wore my favorite gold Aldo “Stessy” pumps. My new fedora I scored from Amazon sealed the deal and really put a bow on my outfit.

So, how did I do?
