Style Files: Five Times I Wore All White to Work and Managed to Stay Clean

I’ve never worn white as much as I have this year and now I think I’m hooked. This applies to my weekend wear and my work wardrobe. I’ve probably worn white the most to the office and that’s pretty strange since my work day isn’t spent behind a desk. I spend most of my day around town meeting new people and telling stories that matter to the community. Sometimes that may take me to some strange places and let’s just say my all white look wouldn’t last long. Seriously, I could be a dirt ball before I make it back to the car. For instance , I spent al day Wednesday chasing house fires along side the fire department (arson). Glad I didn’t wear white. But this summer, I went against my better judgement several times and wore all white to work. Check out the five times I dressed in all white everything and managed to stay stain free.

I’m starting with the most recent look and it may be one of my favorites. Initially I wasn’t going “goo-goo” for this dress, but when I slipped it on, it was a wrap. I was in love with this Bisou Bisou textured cap sleeve dress from J.C.Penney.

It features a figure-flattering fit with a slight v neck. It can easily be paired with a nice blazer for an even more office-appropriate look. Even though this dress is figure-flattering, it can still work for the office. It falls just above the knee and I’m 5’7 wearing 4 1/2 inch. heels.

Last week I reached for my Bar III Lace Fringe-Trim Pencil Skirt. I kept things simple with a white tank and nude heel sandals. I wanted to pair the skirt with a white blouse or a flowy top, but realized I didn’t have either. So clearly it’s time to go shopping. Wearing a white button up blouse is also another way to style your lace pencil skirt.

I was super excited to wear this all over lace dress I scored from my neighborhood thrift store. It’s another one I didn’t love until I tried it on. It’s the right kind of adorable.

The other two dresses have been featured on the blog, HERE along with other office-ready looks. I love these two because both are my favorite style of dress. I’m in love with the sheath dress. It’s perfect for my long leaner frame.

This beautiful Lucy Paris dress was also thrifted. The sleeveless dress has a beautiful chain that laces the neckline. Cute, right?

The other white dress is from T.J.Maxx. I wore on my birthday a few years ago and it’s still hanging tough.
