I wore a suit. In the summer. In the south. And didn’t die. That was a feat that I don’t take lightly. Why would I even try a suit in 90 degree weather? Simply put, I love a good suit, especially a power suit, but I made it work because I ditched the pants and added shorts tapping into a summer trend, the short suit.
The summer short suit is a cute and functional alternative to the power suit. I’ve seen a few of my favorite style stars play with this trend with vibrant solid colors, but I tried a pretty print. This peach, pink , and coral tropical print screams summer vacay mode.
Although vacations are on pause this year it doesn’t mean vacations looks are out. Here’s how I made my summer printed short suit work. I made sure to add a coral crop tank to my look. It gives me an option to wear the blazer or ditch it , if I get too hot.
I kept my heels neutral. I paired my printed suit with nude ankle strap sandals from JustFab. I finished the look with a mint green, bamboo handle purse that finishes my vacation look. What do you think?
