Quick question. What did you wear to bed last night? An old T-shirt and a pair of leggings? Sounds about right, huh? I get it. I’m the queen of throwing on an old T-shirt and hopping in bed and calling it my nightwear, but a few years ago I decided I needed real pajamas. Now, I make it my business to wear PJs that actually match and was purchased as a set. I think you should too!
I live by the mantra: If you look good, you feel good. And who doesn’t want to feel good especially when it’s time to go to bed? For me it helps me relax and that’s because I’m comfortable. The key was finding the pajamas that work best for me on my comfort scale.
Here’s a quick break down: In the warmer months I typically lean towards airy, light weight pieces like this set I scored from Walmart. It’s actually a kimono and dress, but for the longest I thought it was pajamas and I wear it as such.
The duster is super lightweight. I wear it around the house but When it’s time for bed I ditch it. My gown is made of a jersey material really gets all the shine. It’s soft and breathable , ensuring I’m not hot and working up a sweat in my sleep. In the colder months I’m reaching for my pajama pants set, which are usually cotton.
I have a few satin pajama pants sets, but I’ve found these to be the least comfortable only because I noticed I sweat a lot in these. If I go for a satin piece it’s either shorts or a gown.
Whatever your pajama preference just make it cute. We sometimes make a fuss about what we’re wearing outside, but could care less about what we are wearing inside. Ditch that notion and take it up a notch. Consider buying some stylish sleepwear to make your night time routine chic and most importantly, comfortable. I’ve already pulled a few to get you started. I love the idea of a good satin Night gown. Something so grown and sexy about it! I actually JUST started wearing my nighties that were given as bridal shower gifts bc I was so comfortable wearing T-shirts!!! It’s been 9 years…I’m ashamed! Don’t get me!!! Loved this!!
It’s never too late to start. You will find some cute pieces ???
I loved this! I’m a sucker for a good satin robe – especially when I’m getting ready in the mornings. Makes me feel so classy lol. Thanks for sharing! I’m checking out that black cami and short set!! I need a robe to go with it too lol ☺️?
I have tons of robes.I’m looking for a new robe that’s silk and floral print. I also want to get a silk short set with some lace somewhere.
