Style Guide: How to Stay Warm and Stylish During the Winter Months

Guess who won’t freeze this winter? I’ve quietly filled my closet with enough gear to make sure I’m warm and stylish AF! As the great Trinidad James would say, “Don’t believe me, just watch.”

Let’s face it, keeping warm and cute are sometimes the hardest thing to do. Because who is really thinking about being cute when your hands, toes, and head feel like the back of a meat freezer?

It  can be done, though. It’s all about layering, adding in a few accessories, and a the statement coat.

If you don’t own fly cold weather accessories or a statement coat, this is the time to stock up because it’s technically out of season. That means it’s deeply discounted.

That’s how I snagged both this velvet quilted coat from Forever 21 and this faux fur stole from Target. I bought the coat in December when it was 50 percent off. I picked up the stole in January of 2018.

My stole along with my coat add color and texture to my look. It helps bring out the color in what would be considered a neutral look.

A brown oversized hat punctuated the look and will help keep my head warm when those temperatures start to dip low.  How will you keep warm this winter? Tell me in the comments. Also, let me know if you like this look.
