You ever had a dream you birthed at young age? Something you’ve wanted for forever? Now imagine that dreaming coming true and every day you get to live your dream out. How amazing, right?
For as long as I can remember I’ve always wanted to be a television news reporter and journalist. This dream started in my fourth grade class and I haven’t looked back since. Every move I’ve made always led me back to this same spot and the same desire— to share powerful stories with the world, evoke change, and spark meaningful dialogue in communities.
This month I celebrated 10 years as a working TV journalist. This journey included lots of tears, hurt feelings, lost relationships, empty bank accounts, and days where I felt like I couldn’t keep my head above water. I felt like I was drowning in bills and in fear. That fear caused me to doubt myself too many times. I would often count myself out before anyone ever told no.
Most of all this journey has taught me about growth and God’s grace. I still have so much to learn and there’s so much more I want to achieve, but in this moment I’m grateful for grace and growth.
Tell me how you’re crushing your dreams or working towards it.

This look describes my style philosophy to a tee. I’m always having this constant battle of should I dress up or keep it simple. I was able to combine the two. I sparkled and shined in a sweatshirt and sequin skirt. If you love the look, shop it below:
