I play about a lot of things, but never my coins. That’s why I believe in keeping things chic and cheap. I work hard to find steals, deals, and discounts to make sure I’m on trend and on budget. I believe you can still look amazing without breaking the bank. Here’s example number 1,000,001
I picked up this fabulous lace pencil skirt from Forever 21’s bogo sale earlier this summer. I bought a lace skirt from one of their designer brands (also on sale) for $24.99 and I got this lace skirt for free. There’s also another way I could have spent even less, but I’ll explain that in a later post.
The skirt is lined and pretty thick which leads me to believe I can wear this number in the winter months. The lace material slightly mimics a leather material so it’s a perfect transition piece. It works from season to season. Look for those transitional pieces to add to your wardrobe, which gives you more bang for your buck.
I paired this skirt with probably the first body suit ever made. I wore a black v-neck body suit from Victoria’s Secret. I ordered this back in 2002 or 2003. I remember I was an undergrad spending that refund check money. The good old days.
I added this trendy boohoo body harness to the look to try and edge it out. It looks slightly too big , but it may work for others. I still love it and plan to wear more of it this winter maybe on top of a turtleneck or dress. The harness was $14 but Boohoo is always having a 50 percent code so I got it for half off.
I added a pop of color with this hot pink chain purse. I absolutely love it. This purse was also purchased during another Forever 21 bogo event.
My favorite black Zara pumps finished the look. In all this outfit comes in under $100. The heels was the most expensive thing in this look.
