Yes I know it’s spring and I should be dipping and diving into pastels, but I’m not there yet. I will be, but right now i’m sticking with my neutral palette. I even wore all black on Easter. Fix it Jesus. Recently I wore another look straight from neutral closet. This time I wore three shades of grey for a look that was on trend and definitely on budget.
This entire ensemble, minus the accessories , but add the shoes comes in just under $90. I paired by statement Forever 21 fringed cardigan with my Target Skater skirt.
Both pieces are high quality. This is the one time the statement, ” You get what you pay for,” is not true.
The Merona skirt was a clearance rack score for $13. The fabric is heavily constructed and super thick. It appears more expensive than what it was originally priced as.
The fringe sweater is of course super luxe, definitely a show stopper, and a conversation piece. The first time I wore cardigan, I was stopped at least a dozen times from women young and seasoned who appreciated the piece. It was originally priced at $32.90.
I paired a Mossimo Supply crew neck tee ($3 clearance) with my skirt and sweater. I punctuated my look with my Nasty Gal nude ” On A Level ” heel sandals. I waited almost a year before buying these heels because I wanted to see if I could get them for cheaper. Patience paid off. I scored the heels for $36. Sooooooo worth the wait.
Fun accessories like this bauble necklace and bracelet added a pop of pizazz. Plus my rings made me feel super luxurious.
I know it’s not your typical spring look, but I think I brought a little sunshine.
