In 2014 I am going to be fearless with my fashion choices. I’m always telling women to have fun with their look or take a risk; but truth is, I’m not practicing what I preach. I rarely take major fashion risks. It took me an entire year to mix prints and I’m still leery about trying other trends. It’s not that I don’t want to, I’m just too chicken to wear most of my over -the -top looks. Last year I tried this faux fur coat on at the BCBG outlet. I didn’t buy it, even though I loved it.
Last year I thrifted my life away and was able to fill my closet with some cool pieces, but most of it is still hanging in my closet, like this 80’s inspired sequined dress. Here’s the problem, I never know where I’m going to wear these over the top looks. Seriously, when will I wear that feathered skirt or my sequined pants?
This year it’s less questions and more actions. Who cares if I’m styling in a full length vintage fur at Starbucks or sashaying in sequins at Target. I’m going to wear whatever I want, whenever I want. In 2014 I promise to take risks, be fearless , and be BOLD!
