Spring? Any day, now! Seriously, we’ve been experiencing the longest winter ever and I’m O.V.E.R. it. The gloomy Saturday this past weekend, reminded me of the good time I had under some very cloudy skies in Charlotte, while visiting my baby brother. I figured this was the perfect time to give you all a rundown on the rest of my visit since my past weekend wasn’t as eventful.
Friday was all about sight-seeing and Saturday we made our way to Topgolf in South Charlotte, which is only about three minutes from my brother’s home. I’ve been to Topgolf Birmingham about three times and Topgolf Atlanta so the excitement factor isn’t there for me, but it was for my parent’s first time. It was cool to watch them experience it.
Topgolf is a major attraction. Let me tell you how. On a cold and rainy Saturday, there was still a two hour wait for a golfing bay. So instead of waiting there, we went shopping at the outlet mall nearby. There, I bought three pair of Nikes (tell you about them later). By the time I was done shopping we got the call that our bay was ready.
Here’s the deal: With Topgolf if you’re looking to play , you do so by the hour. Anyone playing will need to purchase a $5 membership that’s good for a lifetime. This is not a “miniature golf experience.” It’s more of let me practice my swing type of thing. For us we played a game and the object of the game was to hit your golf balls into one of the colored circles. Each circle was worth a certain amount points. The most points at the end wins. Simple, right? Well, my swing game ain’t strong and neither is my mother’s. We were both last. My dad and brother were at the top of the leader board.
While we played golf , we also ate and the food is on point! I always get the Signature nachos add, chicken. I sipped on a patron margarita. Talk about perfection. My game wasn’t good, but the food was delicious.
Here’s the rundown: Will I go again? Yes. The price point is reasonable, since you’re splitting the cost among other players. The food and drink prices are also average. The nachos and drink range from $10 to $13.
