I’ve been waiting on consistent cold weather, like a kid waits for Christmas. We’ve had a few cool days, but two days later it’s back in the high 60’s or low 70’s. I’m not really complaining , but it would be great to experience winter like weather for at least a month. Because this weather changes like the wind, I haven’t put away some of my summer clothes. I haven’t technically unloaded my cold weather items either. Not to mention, figuring out what to wear is a headache. I’m talking drama-filled, especially when it comes to work.
I need to be fly , fabulous, fierce and whatever fantastic “f ” word you can plug in, when it comes to work. A couple hundred thousand people who I’m so gracious for, watch me on tv. So bad wardrobe days don’t go unnoticed so I want to be cute and comfortable. As you know, this job takes you to some crazy places. Now add this moody weather to the mix. Okay, you get my drift. Crazy, right.
My sleeveless faux leather dress from Target’s Who What Wear Collection was the answer to my weather wardrobe woes. The sheath dress falls just below my knees and features a faux leather tie around the waist. The dress isn’t super snug to the point you feel uncomfortable. It’s breathable and you can move. Key factors in my book.
I’m wearing a size small. I typically wear an XS in Target’s women’s department. I either grab a two of a four but as of late I’ve been team four. I’m pretty hippy ( believe it or not), so I wanted to go up a size. The dress definitely has stretch so also keep that in mind. For $34 I think this was great buy.
This dress will work for winter by adding a white blouse or turtleneck underneath. Opaque stockings and cute boots would seal the deal for this potential winter look.
I styled my dress with simple black suede booties that I scored from TJMaxx. These are Jeffrey Campbell booties and I only paid $24.99. These must be vintage , original , first collection Jeffrey Campbell booties , because Campbell heels are always $200 or up .
I finished the look with a new lip combo I’m trying. Wet N Wild’s Megalast lipstick in the color ” sandstorm ” is the foundation of the combination. So bomb!
