Next to polka dots, stripes is my favorite print. Just think of it as the new neutral. It pretty much works with everything, especially a striped top. I know first hand how versatile the print can be. I own tons of striped tops, skirts, and dresses. From vertical to horizontal my closet is filled with them, but I tend to play it safe and stick with the traditional blue, black, and white .
But I’m learning to take risks after spotting stripes all over the runway this year. It appears the print has caught new wind and these new looks go far beyond the traditional nautical theme. The stripes are rich in color and designers didn’t skimp on style. I’ve recently tried the new take on stripes with a pair of Xhilaration wide leg stripe pants.
When I laid eyes on these pants it was love at first sight. I couldn’t leave them on the rack. The pants were just that cute.
The pastel stripes are set on a tan backdrop, making it a mix of fun and class.
I paired my striped pants with a mauve colored racerback tank, and yellow fringe heels. Here’s a quick style tip: If you want to play it safe try a pair of nude sandals. You can’t go wrong either way because these fabulous pants are saying enough.
