Last Friday I went out after work to celebrate our newsroom intern moving up to a full-time employee (benefits!). We went to Oak and Olive a cool lounge in Dothan. It’s a pretty swanky place. You would ask yourself how did this place end up here? For the celebration I wanted to be comfortable because I worked like crazy that week so I was exhausted. I wore a Tuskegee University raglan style sweatshirt, leather and tweed shorts, and my favorite Sam Edelman ‘Uma’ booties. I was going for a preppy look. I wanted to be on trend, but comfortable.
As you can see I represent my Alma maters whenever I can. I love my sweatshirt because it’s throwback Skegee. The sweater is so vintage I don’t think they even make our tiger like this any more.
I paired my burgundy sweater with grey and black tweed shorts. Yes ma’m I showed a little thigh.
I added one of my favorite winter accessories, over -the-knee-socks. I love them , the socks adds a playful element to a look.
I finished the look with gold accessories, including a black and gold chain purse.
