Last month I celebrated Tuskegee University’s homecoming. It felt so good to be back on campus. Coming back home is always a celebration and you gotta bring your fashion A-game. I went trendy all weekend. Here I rocked Houndstooth, a peplum, and royal blue—all fall fashion trends. To be perfectly honest with you I didn’t think the look would look good, but it worked!
This look gave me trouble, but the finish product was well worth the trouble. First up I ordered a UK 10 in my super cute Houndstooth pencil skirt, but it was too big so I had to send it back. I ordered an 8, but I really think I could have ordered a UK 6. I wanted the skirt to hug all my curves.
I paired the skirt with my Asos backless peplum. Okay this shirt is everything. From the color to the criss cross detailing, I was so in love with this peplum.
Again, the fit was a bit off. I ordered a US 6 and the shirt was too big. The straps were too long and it didn’t offer any support in the chest area. So for $ 3 my seamstress altered my halter.
