I’m trendy! I’m finally admitting it. I love trying new trends and making them my own. I’m a girl that likes what she likes. The latest fashion love affair I’m taking part in is pajamas as your everyday wardrobe. As kids we were dying to wear our favorite PJs to school. Now you have the chance. Well, sorta. These pieces aren’t really pajamas, but inspired by the sleepwear. From satin piping pants to luxe robes and silk shirts, I love it all!
My favorite right now are printed silk shirts worn as dresses. I scored this one at the American Thrift Store in Gardendale for about $8. Because I’m trendy I try not to spend a lot of money on pieces. Chances are the trend won’t last long, so no need to invest a lot of money on something that won’t last long. Keep this style tip in mind while shopping trends.
The satin button down shirt features an orange tropical print. This shirt is versatile and can be wore as a jacket if left unbuttoned or as a shirt dress. I styled the shirt with denim shorts and a white tank. I also wore it as a dress, that I played up with even more vibrant colors. I added my yellow Tayrey fringe heels and cobalt blue purse.
What do you think of the pajama trend? Would you try it? Tell me in the comments.
