I hate drama, but in this case I say bring it on. Nothing brings drama in the fashion world like a statement piece. So this winter I added a statement coat to my closet that’s sure to bring life to any sidewalk or room I step foot in.
I decided this SheIn Multi color Lapel Color block Coat will definitely standout among the sea of grey, blue, and black coats that surround me during the winter weather. The long-line coat is a mix of horizontal and vertical stripes. It’s also a mix of bright colors and neutrals. I love the bright pink , powder blue and red that cover the back of this coat. In my book it’s pure perfection.
The tough part about a statement coat is styling. How to wear it? I say keep it simple. Stick with solids and neutrals. For me I decided to pair my coat with a Forever 21 black studded mini skirt. I teamed the faux leather mini skirt with a semi sheer black turtleneck ( I have a thing for turtlenecks), and my favorite over the knee Truffle Collection Lace up Boots.
I spiced things up with my accessories. I added a bright electric blue purse with a neon yellow tassels. I think my popping pink beanie set my look off
I’m encouraging ladies to add a statement coat to their closet this winter for a few reasons . Statement coats add value to your closet, allows you to become a show stopper , and brings functionality to your crazy fashion choices.

A statement coats quickly escalate any look. It can take you favorite tee and jeans to another level. With statement coats, the coat is doing all the work so your clothes underneath can be simple or extraordinary. Just depends on how much work you want to put into you look for the day.

As I snapped pics and posed for this blog post, I received so many compliments from strangers on the street. They were in awe of this coat. Your statement coat will definitely get the attention of people as it shines bright amongst the parkas and pea coats.
Fashion Meets Function
This is what I love most. When my fashion choices are also functional. My coat keeps me warm and adds value to my closet. The best of both worlds.
