Keeping cool and cute can be a bit of a challenge during the summer months down south. The heat coupled with the humidity can be a bit unbearable. It can be torture for folks like me who work outdoors most of the time. So finding looks that will keep me cool while also bringing the chic factor hss been my goal all summer long. I can finally say, “Mission Accomplished.” Whether your office is traditional or trendy , I have office inspired looks that will get you through the week. Take a peek.
To keep me comfortable during the warm weather I lean towards breathable and light weight clothes. I stay away from the heavy bulky fabrics. In this case I opted for Boohoo’s Laura Wrap Dress. The shortsleeve number has a peplum waist and front slit. The midi length makes it ideal for work.
I teamed the blue dress with my new favorite nude ankle strap sandals from JustFab. These shoes are super comfortable, which is surprising since the sandals feature a high heel.
I love a simple silhouette teamed with a fun pattern. I got the best of both worlds with these floral separates from the Target X Who What Wear Collection.
The black floral print midi skirt has a slimming silhouette that I paired with the matching button back tank. Black Catherina ankle strap sandals completed the look.
Like my Boohoo dress, these matching separates are also made of polyester. There’s a debate about the breathability between cotton and polyester. Some favor cotton more, while other say polyester is best for warmer days. From my experience, I was very comfortable in both looks.
Here’s a look that may have some scratching their heads. Quarter length sleeved in the summer? It’s a perfect option if you’re like me and your office feels like it’s the North Pole. It’s sizzling outside but teeth chattering cold inside. When you’re experiencing ranging temperatures always carry a sweater to easily slip on or off. In my case, I opted for a lightweight dress thats still fashion forward and functional. This JLo snake Print dress is both.
I capped off my look with my Nasty Gal “On A Level” nude heels.
Did these looks offer up some work ready style inspiration?
