Thank goodness it’s a Friday! I don’t care how old I get, I still look forward to Friday. It’s the end of most work and school weeks. It’s the culmination of five days of hard work so a celebration is required, hence why Friday “Happy Hour” is so popular. Since I love happy hour, Friday’s, and shopping I decided to introduce “Friday Favorites. ” It’s a list of a few of my favorite things and this week, I’m talking my five current must haves from Mac Cosmetics.
Studio Fix Fluid Foundation
Studio Fix Fluid is my go-to liquid foundation. It’s actually the first liquid foundation I tried and now I refuse to go back to powder. It offers a semi matte finish with a medium to full coverage. It applies easy and smooth. The only con, it doesn’t come with a pump, but you can always buy one from MAC for $10. I’ve tried several shades from NW43 to NC50. My current shade is NC50.

Pro Longwear’ Concealer
This is liquid gold. No, seriously it is. MAC’s Pro Long Wear Concealer is the the holy grail of concealers. I’ve tried ever one of MAC’s concealers and this by far is the best. The coverage is amazing and it blends beautifully . Its fluid consistency and full coverage do an wonderful job of concealing my under eye dark circles. It’s long lasting. I’m talking 15 hours of staying powder. It doesn’t crease or smudge and a little goes a very long way. The only pro, the packaging. It’s horrible. It dispenses too much product and more often than not you’re wasting product. When the bottle is halfway empty, the pump stops dispensing the product. Seriously, it just quits and there’s still at least weeks if not a month worth of product left. How do I know? Because, the bottle is clear glass and I can see all of product just chilling waiting to be used. Still, the pros out weigh the cons so I continue to purchase MAC’s Pro Long Wear Concealer.

“Amber Lights ” and “Brown Script” Pressed Eye Shadow
Currently MAC has 118 shades of its traditional pressed shadow and I’m currently crushing on two. Both are oldies but goodies. I cannot live without my Amber Lights eyeshadow. Its described as a pretty peachy-brown that shines so bright. It shows up on me as a beautiful antique gold, though. Its the perfect lid color to punctuate your eyes. It’s a frost color so expect tons of shimmer.
To balance out all the shimmer, you need to invest in a matte shadow. It’s perfect for transitioning from color to color. I’m currently crush on MAC’s “Brown Script.” It’s described as a chestnut brown and I would have to agree.
Both shades are highly pigmented and long wearing.

Pigment Loose Powder in Tan
Rounding out my current must haves is MAC’s pigment in the color tan. This shade is not tan at all. It’s a rose gold color. So I suggest testing it out before purchase. Regardless of the name is a bold , beautiful , and a super blendable shade. Pigments are a loose color powder that offers a more intense look than MAC’s traditional shadow. The pigments are super versatile because it can work as more than an eyeshadow. It could also work as a highlight on the perfect skin tone. A little bit goes a long way so be careful and look out for any fall out on from your brush.

“Faux ” Satin Lipstick
I know I said five things, but I just thought about how much I’ve been grabbing this pinky-nude shade of lipstick. An artist applied this shade on my lips last October and I’ve been legit hooked. This is my third tube since my first purchase. That should tell you how much I wear it. It’s a satin finish that super pigmented. I apply this color sometimes with a liner and sometimes without. Either way it’s a winner!
