After weeks of fighting it, I’m finally embracing all of what spring has to offer. I’m here for the 75 degree weather, the beautiful flowers, and all the bright colors a girl can have.
But please miss me with that pollen. Jesus be an Ear, Noise, and Throat doctor because this pollen is no joke. Sigh, I digress. Moving right along to rich colors that are now taking over my wardrobe. This bright orange is everything against my brown skin. I had to do a double take walking pass the mirror. This might be my color! Woot, woot.
I scored this figure-hugging dress from Forever 21 a few weeks back (I need to do a haul video). I didn’t try it on, but picked up a medium. Thank goodness I did. I gained a few pounds since moving back home and there’s no way I could have made it in my typical small.
I teamed my dress with my new favs. My Nasty Gal Nude On A Level sandals were the perfect addition to this look and my shoe closet. I added more color to my look with this gorgeous scarf that my good girlfriend bought me when she lived in Saint Lucia.
A simple solid color dress is a must have for your spring wardrobe. It can be styled several ways. It works for day and night.
Here’s how I would style the look for a more casual look. I tied my favorite chambray shirt around my waist and rocked a Phoenix Suns SnapBack. White Chuck Taylor sneakers would have been perfect, but I don’t own a pair yet so I kept it chic and rocked my heels.
If you’re in the market for an inexpensive orange dress, try any of these below:
You totally slayed both looks!!! i had a similar realization when i wore an orange outfit. I promised myself i’m gonna buy more orange pieces.lol
