I’m so excited to ring in the new year! The last few months of 2015 have been a doozy to say the least. From my very recent cross country move to the loss of my baby girl Lizzy Lou, I’ve been super busy and on an emotional roller coaster. Needless to say, I’m forgoing any major pomp and circumstance this New Year’s Eve. I’m laying low. I plan to create a vision board, sip wine, and countdown til 2016.
I know I’m the small number that’s staying in for the night, but for those who are celebrating the start of the New Year,I have you covered for those last minute “What to wear woes.”
I suggest shopping your closet before spending cash at the mall or a boutique. Chances are you have a hot dress you never wore this year or wore back in February when everyone was too cold to remember so shake the dust off that baby and rock it tonight.
My go-to-look is anything black and it always work. Black is chic and it’s easy! For my all black look I teamed a black pencil skirt with a crop turtleneck (It’s 9 years old). I added my faux fur duster, also from Forever 21 and a pair of nude heels from Lulu’s.
Tassel earrings and a trendy fedora finished the look. This number can be easily re-cerated tonight. A pencil skirt is figuring-flattering and still classic. The crop top gives you a touch of sexy. The duster jacket makes a statement.
If you’re looking for a bit more sparkle, shine, and pizazz there are a few dresses that could give you inspiration for a quick mall run .
Be safe tonight and Happy New Year!
