Sweeties,
Who ever said you couldn’t wear the same thing twice was WRONG! I think its down right criminal to buy a cute top or a stylish dress and throw it to the back of your closet to never wear again. When it comes to my closet, I’m always looking for ways to maximize my wardrobe and that means repeating a few pieces. The key is to style the look differently every time.
When I bought these Mossimo Blueprint Pleated Drapey Pants in April I thought it would be perfect for work, but after pulling a few tops from my closet I discovered these pants would work for a number of occasions.
Here’s how you can give your wardrobe new life with a few styling changes. I took my blue printed pants from office to club wear, and even for a casual Saturday spin.
This thrifted Old Navy blue button down blouse complimented my printed trousers nicely giving it the perfect touch for the office.
I finished the look with Mossimo ‘Shari” ankle strap sandals and gold accessories.
To spice up the printed pants for an evening look, I added this cobalt blue halter peplum top I scored from ASOS two years ago.
I can’t believe I’ve only worn this top once. This is an example of why it’s important to shop your closet, before hitting the mall.
Gold jewels, a red lip, and my Nasty Gal Shoe Cult “Privilege Heels” completed this club ready look. If the club isn’t your thing, this look would still work for a fun night out with your girls.
If you want to make it a casual Saturday, but aren’t in the mood for jeans a pair of printed trousers will do the trick. I teamed my pants with a royal blue peplum top I snagged from J.C.Penney’s a year ago.
A funky chain necklace and matching sandals from Forever 21 finished this casual, but stylish look.
You can maximize your wardrobe as well by playing with a few pieces you already have. If you love these printed pants, you can grab them HERE. These pants are on sale for $10 with an added 10 percent off.
Let me know if you think this styling example will help you maximize your wardrobe.
