Sweeties,
Where is Spring? My goodness it’s still freezing outside. Right about now I need a little sunshine in my life. Other than the HORRIBLE weather, I’m adjusting to my my new home. While I’ve only been here just three months, I’ve already determined New York is nothing like Alabama for good and for bad.
The weather is an obvious reason. I know this has been an unusually cold winter for the entire country (except Florida), but this weather has been down right cruel. My friends in Alabamam have already experienced more than a few 80 degree days and I’m so jealous.
I miss the warm days and cool nights. Sigh..
The food in Rochester is amazing. While I’ve only been here a short time. I’ve already fell in love with quite a few restaurants that are only unique to Rochester.
From breakfast to dinner this city has it covered!
And just for laughs, I finally enjoyed my first cup of Dunkin Doughnuts. Apparently, America runs on Dunkin. Who knew?
Oh, this past weekend was Maple Weekend and I got a taste of pure maple syrup. It was heavenly.
Despite what I’ve heard about New Yorkers , I’ve actually met some extremely nice people. One lady cleaned the snow off my car. OMG! Who does that? I was so grateful, I almost came to tears.
So far my New York experience hasn’t been too bad. That’s if you omit the part when my car got stuck in the snow. Geesh.
