Style Files with PrettyPrice: Top 20 Looks of 2013

 

2013 was a great style year for me. I played with prints, incorporated fun colors into my work wardrobe, and  thrifted like it was nobody’s business. My fashion choices got the attention of brands Vince Camuto and stores like J.C.Penney. I flipped when J.C. Penney tweeted they loved my look, but that was just the beginning. When Vince Camuto tweeted that my #OOTD was fabulous, I swallowed my gum. No, seriously I couldn’t believe it. I still can’t believe it. As we embark on new fashion year, I wanted to reflect on some of my favorite fashion moments  from 2013. Here are some of my favs.

 

 

I jazzed up my work wardrobe by adding fun prints to my look.  I got a few strange looks when I wore these printed pants to the office, but I was confident and werked it! Oh,  the scarf didn’t make it on air. I wore it only for the pics. LOL!

 

 

This year  I was in an intense  love affair with polka dots.  The print is fun and youthful. I also wore these two looks to work.

 

 

 

I  love a black and white color combination. It’s simplicity at its best. My Karl Lagerfield t-shirt got a lot of play time in 2013. I think that was the best few dollars I ever spent. Seriously, I’ve worn the blood out of that tee.

 

 

 

In 2013 I remixed a few celeb styles and made them my own. These two looks were inspired by the fabulous Jessica Alba.

 

 

 

Leather was in heavy rotation this year, especially my colored leather skirts. This blue number was one of my favorites. Isn’t it cute?

 

I called this look ” Fifty Shades of Grey”.  I’m wearing several versions of grey and my faux fur vest set this look off. I got a lot of compliments on this look.

 

 

I tried a trend and mixed prints in this River Island houndstooth skirt and Forever 21 plaid top. How did I do?

 

 

I tried floral for the fall. I scored this blazer off the clearance rack at J.C. Penney. #Winning

 

This year I  thrifted my life away.  The oversized mustard blazer is a thrift store fab find.

 

I scored this printed skirt suit from the thrift store.

 

I was “Gone with the Wind Fabulous” in the thrifted dress.  Oh the belt and purse were also thrifted!

 

 

Next to polka dots, plaid was my favorite print of 2013. I wanted to make plaid edgy, I think I nailed it!

 

 

Don’t sleep on the thrift store.  My favorite pieces hanging my closet were snagged from the thrift store.
