I’m in LOVE with Boxing Kitten. The clothes are made to accentuate the silhouettes of women. The colors are rich and the patterns are bold. After viewing a video of the designer, Maya Amina Lake, she says her designs are a mix of the African American studies, the 50’s, with a modern touch. Lake, uses Ankara fabric. This beautiful fabric is mainly bought, worn, and marketed in Western African countries. It’s obvious that Lake’s inspiration, exudes through her final product.
