After a world wind weekend, it’s back to the work week grind for me. While story leads and deadlines are top of mind, I can’t help but to think about the gorgeous gowns from the 2015 Oscar Awards. The ladies were serving high slits and sexy silhouettes. Let’s not forget about those sexy dresses from the Vanity Fair after party. Talk about stepping it up a notch. Giuliana Rancic Issues Apology to Zendaya Over Insensitive Hair Joke
When will people understand there are simply certain things that can’t be said or done? Perpetuating stereotypes is one, but apparently E! Fashion Police host Giuliana Rancic didn’t get the memo.
On Monday night’s show Rancic critiqued Disney Star Zendaya Coleman’s Oscar look, including her hair. Coleman sported faux locs on the red carpet, which is pretty trendy right now. She said,“I love Zendaya’s style and I loved when she has the little hair. I think–she just had it. She’s just such a tiny frame that this hair to me just overwhelms her. I feel like she smells like patchouli oil and weed.”
Wait. Did she say little hair? Okay I’m outdone. I guess the 18 year old was too. She issued her own statement via Instagram responding to the comments.
Rancic initially issued a statement via Twitter and later went on to make an on camera apology.
Sweeties, do you think Rancic was referring to a Bohemian Chic look? Even if she was, this was a very slippery slope. It’s another example of why shows like, “Fashion Police” need more diversity on and behind the camera. I’m sure an African American producer or co star could have chimed in a checked Rancic at that moment.

Lupita Nyong’o’s Oscar Gown Was Stolen
There’s another “Dress Gate of 2015” and this one has nothing to do with white and gold or black and blue. This dress gate involves 6,000 pearls and about $150,000. Lupita Nyong’o’s beautiful Calvin Klein pearl covered gown is missing. She wore the dress to the Oscar Awards last Sunday and it was last seen in her West Hollywood hotel room.
TMZ is reporting the dress may have be stolen on Wednesday anytime from 8 am to 9pm, when she was away from her room.
Here’s where things get sticky. The dress isn’t technically Lupita’s. It’s on loan like so many red carpet gowns.
This entire story is baffling. Hopefully it turns up and the culprit is caught. [TMZ]
Zoe Kravitz Slays Ocean Drive Magazine Shoot
Zoe Kravitz is a beautiful mix of her gorgeous parents, Lenny Kravitz and Lisa Bonet. Her stunning look is on display in the march issue of Ocean Drive Magazine.
For the cover Zoe poses in a figure flattering white gown that features a side slit and plunging neckline.Inside she dishes on her love life, family and fame.
“I can’t imagine what it’s like for people who come from very normal lives and all of a sudden become famous. I’ve been lucky enough to dip my toe in it and feel the water before I got in the pool.”
She also talked about her upcoming film. She’s starring alongside Charlie Theron and Tom Hardy in George Miller’s blockbuster Mad Max: Fury Road. “Aesthetically, it was the most beautiful, creative thing I have ever seen,” she recalls of the project, which came with a fair amount of frightening scenes. “It was really crazy and surreal and intense—we were out in the desert in the middle of nowhere, and all of a sudden, there’d be fire and bullets flying at us. It’s Mad Max, so it was definitely some gnarly shit we were doing.”

Naya Rivera is Expecting
First comes love, then comes marriage, and next is Naya Rivera with a baby carriage. The “Glee” actress who married Ryan Dorsey last July is expecting her first child. The couple announced the baby news via Instagram.
Naya posted an adorable childhood picture of Ryan and herself with the caption, “Surprise! We’re having a baby! Ryan and I feel so blessed and can’t wait to welcome the newest member of our family.” Congratulations! [Instagram]

Racially Diverse Emojis are on The Way
Truth Moment: I can’t live without my emojis. Seriously, I wonder what I would do without those animated symbols. Sometimes they convey everything I want to say without typing out a massive message. I know I’m not alone in this. That keyboard comes in handy.
Well, my favorite little cartoon icons are going a step further. Word to the curb is that Apple is planning to add more racially diverse emojis.
According to reports the update will apply to every human emoji including my favorite ,which is the lady holding her hand up in the air like she’s feeling herself. At least that my interpretation of the emoji. Sweeties, what’s your favorite emoji? [Style Caster ]
