The count down is on. I turn 30 this Saturday. I can’t believe this is the last week of my 20’s. OMG! For my birthday, I’m celebrating with family and friends. I think it’s only fitting that I bring in the new decade with the folks who have supported me on this journey. So on the agenda , is a family barbeque and a night on the town. I’ve the slightest clue what I’m going to wear and I haven’t started packing my bags for my trip home. Ugh. So while I get my life, let’s get into the latest in entertainment, fashion, and beauty.

Kendall Jenner Lands Givenchy Campaign
From Marc Jacobs to Chanel, Kendall Jenner is making her high fashion rounds. Things are only getting better for the budding model. She was tapped for Givenchy’s fall campaign. This is the reality star’s first major ad campaign.
Pictures from the ads have surfaced and Kendall is serving, proving she fits right in with the other models.
This is certainly panning out to be Kendall’s year. It’s only June. I wonder what will happen in the next six months? (fashionista)
Zendaya Coleman Cast as Aaliyah in Lifetime Biopic
After much speculation, we now know who will play Aailyah in the upcoming Lifetime biopic: Disney star Zendaya Coleman has landed the leading role .
This film, tentatively titled Aaliyah: Princess of R&B, will be based off of Christopher Farley‘s bestselling biography “Aaliyah: More Than a Woman.”
The “Shaking It Up!” actress also brings along her singing chops to the role . She released a self-titled album last year. Sweeties, what do you think of the casting choice? Is Zendaya the right Aaliyah?
Update: The Aaliyah movie could be over before it even starts. According to TMZ Aaliyah’s family will block Lifetime from producing the film or using Aaliyah’s music. It appears no one from the the network has included the family in the movie. We’ll see what happens. (ybf)
Eve Ties the Knot
2014 is the year of love and babies. In a matter of a month Kelly Rowland gets married and announces she has a bun in the oven. Now it’s Rapper E-V-E turn. She kept the love theme going over the weekend when she tied the knot with her longtime boyfriend Max Cooper. The couple wed at the finish line of the Gumball 3000 rally in Ibiza. It was the same place the two met, three years ago. How sweet?
For her big day Eve looked gorgeous in a lace and embellished high collar gown by British designer Alice Temperley. She completed her look with an updo and a dramatic cathedral-length veil. Maximillion told E! News he was happy to make Eve his wife. “The whole experience has been amazing and we are both so happy to have tied the knot.” Seriously, I’m gushing over here.

Ciara and Rapper Future welcomed their baby boy, Future Zahir Wilburn into the world on May 19th. Almost a month later we’re getting our first real look of the new born. Little Future was dressed in the cutest leather pants ever, along with a onesie emblazoned with his name. He’s only a month old and he’s already a force in the fashion world.

L.A. Dodgers cutie, Matt Kemp is starring aside Chanel Iman for GAP Outlet’s fall fashion campaign and we finally get a peek of some of the behind the scenes action from their shoot.
Matt is the first male celeb tapped to be the face on Gap Inc.’s Factory outlet stores. The Oklahoma native describes his style as distinguished, effortless, and classy. He told WWD, “I don’t try too hard. I don’t try to outdo anybody. I just try to be myself.”
The behind the scene action shows Matt pulling off that effortless look. He was dressed in all American gear, rocking dark denim jeans, plaid , and oxfords. His gorgeous smile finished the look .

Our beloved Shapewear line is taking things to the next level. Spanx has announced the launch of a denim line set to be released on July 25th.
The signature jean is high-waisted with a wide waistband meant to be hidden under a tunic style shirt. The Slim-X jean is a traditional five-pocket jean.
