I’m fresh off my family mini vacation to visit my baby brother in Charlotte and I seriously need a vacation to regroup from the first vacation. While I try to get myself together, let me tell you about my trip.
First, Charlotte is a beautiful city with a lot to offer young black professionals. That’s still rare these days. So, it was refreshing to visit a city embracing and welcoming melanin Millennials!
While there I went to my first NBA game, where my brother treated us to founder club seats! It was nice, but I would have enjoyed my time sitting in the lower sections of the arena as well! I’m bougie, but not that kind of bougie. Charlotte beat the Memphis Grizzlies in the worst way possible.Sorry M-Town. The home team took the crown.
We also toured Uptown,Charlotte where I had the chance to take in a lot of what the city is all about. This place is banking headquarters, from Bank of America to Well Fargo, financial institutions have made Charlotte home.
I also toured NASCAR’s headquarters,grabbed lunch at Mimosa Grill, played music Bingo at Three Spirits Brewery, danced a little at Lucky’s Bar and Arcade , crashed a 60th Birthday Party, and had a late night snack at the world famous Cookout.
Sweeties,that was just a day and a half full of activities. Now you understand why I’m so tired.
SN: Since my brother told me it was such a nice city, I dressed super chic so I could take pictures for the blog. Yes, I toured Uptown in these heels! I was slaying and strutting throughout the city!
