Hollywood and Capitol Hill collided Saturday at the annual White House Correspondents‘ Dinner. The star-studded event celebrates a year of journalism in Washington. The dinner has even been dubbed the annual “Nerd Prom,” but let me assure you the looks from the event are far from “nerdy.” Of course the belle of the ball was none other than First Lady of Fashion, Michelle Obama. She proved once again why she’s the First Lady of Fashion. Lady O shined in a beautiful a grey tulle Marchesa gown.
off-the-shoulder gown with a embroidered bodice and a flowy skirt. To complete the look, MObama went with a pair of statement earrings, kitten heels
Lady O’s gown is from the designer’s Fall 2013 Collection. A few modifications were made to accentuate ‘s the First Lady’s best features: her toned arms!
The dropped-shoulder dress has a fitted bodice with floral embroidered embellishments and a flowy skirt. FLOTUS finished her look with statement jewelery from Cathy Waterman.
We can’t forget Lady O.’s hair. It’s pure perfection. Her honey blonde highlights brighten up her face! GORG!
Among the dinner’s style stars was Sofia Vergara who sizzled in a figure-flattering Romona Keveza Spring 2014 gown. The asymmetric dress features a metallic gold bodice with a blush colored trumpet skirt.
Actress Freida Pinto shimmered in a cut-out custom Thakoon dress. The light pink metallic dress features a criss-cross bodice. Frieda pulled her hair back into a sleek ponytail to complete her look.
Olivia Munn also nailed in pink. She graced the red carpet in a J. Mendel Spring 2014 gown . I love the paneled design.
People’s Most Beautiful Person Lupita Nyong’o shined in a beautiful black and white polka dot peplum Oscar de la Renta dress. She gets it right every time, right?
Lupita completed her look with a bright pink lippie and her signature blue eyeshadow. Go bold or go home!
Our favorite TV First Lady Bellamy Young wowed in a double tiered Romona Keveza dress. The red silk organza gown was absolutely amazing!
Gladiators Guillermo Diaz and Katie Lowes were also on hand. It was practically a “Scandal” reunion. We were just missing a key player. Kerry Washington skipped the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner to take care of her new born baby girl. Yes, Kerry delivered her baby TWO weeks ago.
Jessica Simpson was an added surprise. She looked great in a black and white rose print Carolina Herrera strapless gown.
Katie Couric was one of my favorite looks of the night. I loved her white lace gown.
E!Correspondent Alicia Quarles got it right in a deep purple embellished gown.
Funny man Kevin Hart and his girl Eniko Parrish made a red carpet debut. The “Think Like A Man ” star wore a black tuxedo and Eniko made it a all black everything type of night. What a cute couple!
