Is it crazy that I’ve already started the countdown for Christmas 2017? I’m slightly sad that Christmas is over *insert major sad face here*
All the fun parties are over, the Christmas jams aren’t blasting, and the fabulous holiday decorations are coming down.
One thing that will remain the same, is the insane amount of red I’ve sported all month long. It looks good on me and I plan to continue twirling in these streets wearing the most beautiful shades of red I can find.
As you can see I’ve already started. I couldn’t help myself when I spotted this vintage Carol Craig dress at my favorite thrift store. The dress was $6.99. It has pleats. It has gold embellishments. It’s perfect!
I paired my perfect red dress with matching red heels. It was kind of a red overload. Let me explain my reasoning behind the double dose of red. My red Just Fab heels feature a side bow. Bows are dainty. Bows are girly. My red pleated dress is the epitome of ladylike, so I figured the red heels would compliment the dress. I was right. I was cute. End of story!
Seriously, I thought about wearing my nude pumps, but the heels were a little too light to match my faux fur stole that I added to the look.
Overall I’m super happy with how things turned out. It’s also the second time I’ve found a beautiful vintage pleated dress in America’s Thrift Store. The first time was a nude colored dress and I also styled it with a faux fur stole. You can read that post HERE .
Meanwhile, shop a few red pleated dresses below. Don’t worry, the dresses are budget friendly.
