Happy New Year!
Thank goodness for second chances. After completely failing during the first full week of the year, I’m back at it. Alabama lost the National Championship Football game, I became so sick my body was weak, and it was a complete struggle at work. Not this week. I’m starting fresh. The goals and plans I was ready to put in motion last week, I’m giving it a go this week.
I have a big problem of getting out the door. I’m dressed ready to go and I will think of about a million things I didn’t pack for work or I could possibly need during the day. All of that last minute thinking has me getting out of the house later than I had planned.
Not anymore. I literally made a list of everything I will need for the day the night before. Not only did I have the list, it’s already packed up. My prayer is to keep up this consistency.
I also took it a step further and laid out my clothes for the next day. Y’all, it was middle school the last time I laid out clothes the night before. I laughed at myself when I was getting prepared Sunday night, but hey, let’s see if it will help me improve.
I hope this year I stick to these changes and I think I will because, first, I’m getting my mind wrapped around the changes. Sometimes we’re so ready to change or run from the past that we go all in and our mindset hasn’t shifted to the new you.
So here’s to shifting mindsets and making improvements in your life
What are some of your goals in the new year?
