I’m fresh off an amazing weekend and ready to tackle this week. I’m praying this week will be a purpose-filled one. My mantra “New week, new Monday, new goals,” is in full effect. I’ve been filled and fed with some crazy positive energy to get me through the new week and some of it came in the form of food for the soul and the belly . Not just any food, I’m talking tacos. How amazing is it that “Taco Tuesday,” came twice in one week? I had the opportunity to try out bartaco in Homewood, AL (a small community just outside of Birmingham). Continue Reading »

Same girl, different kimono! It’s no secret, I love a  good kimono. I’ve been obsessed with them for the last two years and it doesn’t appear that my obsession is letting up this season. I can’t help it! The piece is super versatile and it’s easy. It’s the one, no fuss piece in my closet that can easily be dressed up or down and could go from day to night.

Life + Styles: Three Reason Why It’s Okay to Say “No”

Tuesday, March 13, 2018 · No Comments

It’s okay to say NO! I’ve been preaching this all 2017 and I’m going to continue to spread the gospel this year. I’m coming from the Book of I’m tired and sometimes busy, so I don’t have the time. You never read that in the good book? Well, let me tell you about it. If you allow it, people will run you down. Don’t let them. Tell them NO. Respectfully, of course.

It’s hard trying to juggle all of the emotions.  In these last five days, I’ve recognized that life is short, the importance of having compassion for others, celebrating the success of other, and how exploring new opportunities can be so scary.
