Nail polish trends change from season to season, so say goodbye to those summer neon’s and welcome fall’s dark and ornate shades.  As we transition into our fall wardrobe we should also start transitioning into our fall nail polishes. If you’re that girl who is adamant about wearing her hot pink polish all year long, stop it PLEASE!  There are plenty of colors that are perfect for the new season. So as I make my personal transition into my favorite fall shades, I will share the journey with you. I painted my nails a dark purple shade by O.P.I. called Siberian Nights. This blinding shade of yellow is perfect color to decorate your nails and toes with this summer. This color is called ” Neon Yellow” and it’s from the American Apparel neon nail polish collection. I fell in love with this bright shade of yellow the minute I saw Kimora Lee Simmons sporting the polish. For a bottle of this  neon yellow nail polish it will cost you $6 dollars. It’s available at American Apparel stores or online.

Nail Polish Review: Sally Hansen Salon Effects (UPDATE)

A few weeks ago I did a small review on Sally Hansen Salon Effecst Real Nail Polish Strips here on Ooh La La Blog . Well I’m back to tell you that the strips lasted  more then the ten days advertised on the box. I actually went back and tried another pattern. Both designs held up for a very long time without peeling or chipping.  I knew the polish strips were the, when I went to the nail shop to get my eye brows waxed and they complimented me on my nails. They wanted to know who did my nails and where was the shop located. They were really surprised when I told them I did my own nails. SO WHOOMP THERE IT IS! I would definitely suggest  Sally Hansen Salon Effects to women who aren’t afraid to do their own nails, and even if you are, give it a shot.  It’s simple and only takes a few minutes. There’s no drying time either so that’s always a plus. All you do is  peel, press, and go!  It’s simple and well worth the $8.50 at Wal Mart or the $9.99 at Walgreens and Ulta.

Here’s a few picks from my nails. Please forgive my polish technique, I kinda went outside the lines!

I used Sally Hansen Salon Effects in #240. It’s called “Check It Out”. I also used Pure Ice, # 303CP. It’s called ” Free Spirit”

I used Sally Hansen Salon Effects in #320. It’s called ” Kitty, Kitty” I also used NYC nail polish in #1313A. It’s called ” Big Apple Red ”

I used Salon Hansen Salon Effects in #320. It’s  called ” Kitty, Kitty”.  I also used Orly nail polish in #40294. It’s called ” Luxe” . I used  Sephora by OPI top coat. It’s called ” Only Gold For Me”.

On the last set of pictures, the real nail polish strips were on week number two and lasted another week after that. Any questions, just ask in the comment section and I will answer them for you.
